Hello Out There!

So one of my sweet friends mentioned on facebook that she misses my blog.  That brought tears of joy to my eyes.  Ok, I didn't really cry but I got the warm fuzzies.  I've missed my blogfriends.  It's been much too long since my last post and it was much too long since that post, too.  I have kept up my dutiful habits of reading about everyone else's lives, but I haven't included any details on my own in quite some time.  I know--kind of hypocritical.

Lots and lots has been going on here as of late.  Josh and I are having our first houseguests TODAY!  The McCardles (MIL Janet, FIL Jimmy, and 2 BsIL [ that is brothers-in-law by the way ], Austin and Ethan) are making their way from Alabama to Cleveland so I've been trying to get stuff accomplished, settled, and "homey" whilst my dear mother has been painting our entry-way, guest room, and bathroom (the only other rooms left that we haven't already painted).

Let me just say that I don't know what I'd do without my mom.  I wish I were as industrious and practical as she is.  When I get home from work I just want to eat and go to sleep.

After watching an hour or so of reality tv, that is.  ;)

This summer has been really great, weather-wise.  We haven't had too many rainy days and I've been able to get in a few photoshoots here and there.  Here are a few shots from the various shoots I've had the pleasure of holding.  The photos don't reproduce quite as well on this site as they do on facebook, so add All Our Little Moments Photography on facebook and you can see them as they were meant to be seen if you want (hi-res).

Josh's stepdad is going to be helping us re-surface our front porch and build a back deck while they're here and it should be lots of fun.  My mom and I are going to stain the porch and the deck once they are all put up.  So exciting!!  So far, we have new paint, new (old, mostly restored) wood floors, a made-over kitchen, new chair rail molding in the dining room.  I want to do some more work outside, but we have a garden bed and a new flower bed in the back.  We ate squash and zucchini on Monday night that came from our very own garden.  It was nice!

Just another tangent for you:  I have discovered the miracle that is Twitter.  Celebrity tweets are awesome!

More soon, I PROMISE.  I've got some time off work coming up starting tomorrow so hopefully I can do some more posting between now and when I have to go back to work.
