Well, Nolan's Shower Day Two was too sweet--in more ways than one! The girls had beautiful (and I mean beautiful tulips sent to my work and I brought them home to enjoy them!
Please excuse the photos--they're not uploaded in high definition but you get the picture on how pretty they are!
When I got home from work, there were a dozen of these babies sitting on the front porch, delivered from a local bakery. There were lemon (sooooooooooooooooooooo gooooood!)
And Lemon Raspberry... (just got to try one of those today--wowwwww!!!!)
and Dark Chocolate!!! (mmm!!!!)
The sweet, sweet card that came with the cupcakes:
"Those tiny feet will be following in some wonderful footsteps. Happy Shower Week! Love, Jennifer, Michelle, Jenny, and Lisa."
And while I was snapping photos, an amazing present was delivered!!! A pack and play!
Thank you so much to Jeffrey and Erikka who sent this to us for Nolan. I was putting the pack and play together and bumped into the mobile. It started to play "Rockabye Baby" and it brought tears to my eyes. Josh's sister and brother-in-law were so nice and gave us their pack and play so we will now have this one for our house and my mom (who will be watching Nolan during the work week) will have one at her house too! Thanks ya'll!!!
So Day Three, Wednesday! Just as wonderful as Days One and Two: I came home to multiple packages on our front porch (our neighbors must think we're on a buying spree! haha!) and I had to post a photo with the tulips to show how beautifully they've opened up!
The first gift was from Shannon (whom I call Shanoodle or Noodle), a wonderful friend to both of Josh and me: Snoopy socks (for me) and some Indians onesies for Nolan!
Thank you so much, Aunt Noodle!!!!
From Lisa and Mikey, who are expecting their first little one here in the next few weeks, tons of the essentials that we registered for! A drying rack, formula dispenser, bottle brush, teethers and binkies!!! Thanks sooooo much, guys. We can't wait until your Ella Grace makes her debut!
And from Andrea, tooooo-cuuuuuute jumpers with matching socks and pants (and the sweetest card). The tiny little socks...well, they are just too sweet.
From Jon and Jenny, who Josh grew up with and became our mutual friends, came the most amazing baby survival kit (tons of medicine and essentials for Nolan!), a gift set of lotion, shampoo, and baby wash, a big pack of tiny little diapers :) and a set of washcloths/hooded towels (whales--so cute!) and receiving blankies. Thank you both so much for such thoughtful gifts!
And as I was taking photos of everything we received today (wow!),
I remembered that I should check the mail since it was probably raining (our mailbox is on the side of our house and isn't rain-proof).
And Shannon (Noodle) had sent a bunch of stickers for Nolan's memory book!!!
I wish I could give you all a hug and tell you thank you in person...this is just too much! Thanks to you all, we will be ready for Nolan to come any time now (well, within the next 12 weeks!)
