Wedded Bliss

Well, after five and a half years, we made it legal.  Now I'm Mrs. Sewell and am officially part of a very big family!  I don't really want to get rid of my last name, or my middle name for that matter, but I have eight more weeks until the official documents come in before I need to worry about any of that stuff.  Josh said I can keep my last name if I want, but I'd like to have both (not hyphenated to make a new last name, but just have Pratt there still before the Sewell.)

The ceremony was very simple, we specified no music or aisle-walking needed.  In fact, we had our "moment" alone together where we saw each other all wedding-dressed, went out and took some pictures, and then came back to the room to cool off before the ceremony.  It was h-o-t outside which is why my hair looks for my wedding the way it does every single day of my life.  It was done up very nicely, but 99.9% humidity tends to negate even the most intense hairspray job.  Oh well!  The wedding coordinator came and and took us to the location (a terrace gazebo overlooking the ocean--beautiful) and we said our vows.

The resort photographer took a few photos of us, but knowing we wanted to take our own, he didn't do much of a good job.  In fact, of about a hundred photos, we chose three  that we sort of liked--and got them on CD so I could try to tweak them a bit.

Jamaica has been wonderful to say the least, but I am ready to go home to frozen Cleveland to the snow and sleet and especially home to my Belle and Sadie.  I've missed them while on vacation!  I know, I know, crazy.  Josh asked me yesterday if I am bored.  I'm not bored--I just don't know what to do with myself when I have "no worries, mon" and nothing pressing to get done.  Just not used to it!  Ha!

When we get back, Christmas will only be two weeks away!  I am not completely finished shopping, but most everything is done, which is good news, because I'm starting a temporary new assignment with work that I'm excited about and will be taking up the majority of my time.

Anyway, I will leave you with a few of the pictures we took.  I can't wait to share the rest of the Jamaica photos with my blog family (is that two, maybe even three people yet?)
