Well, this weekend was wonderful, relaxing, and thankfully pretty uneventful. This time last year, when some of Josh's family came to visit for Thanksgiving, we had a good deal of snow on the ground (maybe a foot or foot and a half?)It was a lot of fun for Josh's brothers and nephews, who had never seen so much snow before (and the
younger ones had never seen it at all I don't think), but since we don't have any little ones of our own around, snow is beautiful, but sort of a hassle instead of fun.
This year, we haven't had any snow at all so far (yay!) and I hope that it will hold out until after we get back from Jamaica. It'd be okay to have a White Christmas, since Josh and I both have some time off for the holiday.
Who is ready for Black Friday? I am! It is so hard to believe that the holidays are already here...Christmas is a little over a month away and 2010 will be right around the corner. This year has come and gone so quickly. I had all of my Christmas shopping done by this time last year and right now I'm not even halfway through yet! We are going to decorate on Wednesday night together (it will be our first Christmas as Sewells, in the plural! Hard to believe.) I know it is maybe a little early to decorate, but we'll be gone an entire week in December so I want to enjoy a full month or more of Christmas lights and sparkly ornaments :)

So this weekend was really nice. I got to work a lot on my mom's birthday gift (thank goodness, because there aren't too many weekends left that I can work on it before her actual birthday!) and we had a nice lunch out in Westlake on Saturday afternoon. I'm pretty sure we are the only couple under 30 who didn't go see New Moon this weekend. I'd rather see it in a week or two once the teenyboppers have all seen the movie. Much greater Then we took the girls for a long walk in the park, to the summit and around the marina area. It's always a good opportunity to get a little camera practice in.
We had a lazy Sunday morning; I cleaned a little and got some laundry done and we watched some tv. I also bothered the dogs by taking some photos of them. Then we went to have dinner at my parents' house (yet again a good source of photo-ops:).
I told you it was a pretty uneventful weekend. I'm hoping that there will be lots more going on as the holidays get closer.
On another note, we have reached the 14 day countdown mark for the wedding! Yipee!

We are waiting to see New Moon too :) So you guys are not alone!
