"H" is for Homeowners

Josh bought me something today and it is the cutest thing.  It's a little piece of wood, one of those trendy sign things that have messages on them.  I'm not usually into them, but this one really was perfect for us today.

It says "Home is where your story begins."  (awwwh)

Our story has begun.  Closing Day has come and gone, and now, we are the official owners of this gem (well, I think it's pretty cool at least, but I'm partial I suppose). 

We did it, all by ourselves!  Well, with the help of an awesome mortgage advisor named Jake and buyers agent named Flavia (let me know if you need their contact info) we are now the owners of a 1923 Colonial, boasting original hardwood floors and woodwork, a finished "man cave" basement and bar for Josh, and three bedrooms for me to decorate and redecorate until my heart's content. ;) 

Phase One will be a kitchen makeover.  Bless its little culinary heart, the kitchen needs a bit of love and updating.  I posted a blog about this a few weeks ago and am excited to post some before and after pictures.

Phase Two will be to remove wallpaper border from the dining room  chair rail molding.

Phase Three will be painting.  

Oh yeah, then we might unpack a box or two.  If we have time :) 

Well, I just wanted to share the good news because I'm positively bursting with happygratefulness.
