Life Goes On

You know that song by John Cougar Mellencamp, called "Jack and Diane?"  If not, you should.  It's good and uplifting and all that.

Life is good.  Life stinks.  Life Goes On.  Life is life.  Such is Life.  All those sayings apply at one time or another.

Josh and I have been working and savings towards a home for about fifteen solid months now, researching everything we might need or want in a home, going through neighborhoods during all seasons and times of day, and looking at school districts (for BabySewell, whenever he or she comes into our lives).  We revved ourselves up for being ready, but it unfortunately wasn't the right time.  I just keep telling myself that everything happens for a reason.

So, I am in the process of reorganizing and revamping the house we're renting now and hunkering down for another year here.  It's a cute little house, not necessarily in the best neighborhood ever, and it's not "ours" but I think we will be just fine.

On a happier note, my sister and her boyfriend are coming to visit for their Spring Break and I'm pumped about my parents and Josh getting to meet him.  He's a super nice guy, really digs my sister, and I am so glad.  I met him this past fall.  We're going to take the two of them out to dinner this weekend for some sushi.  I took off this coming Monday and next Friday to spend some extra time with the two of them and I'm really hoping to get a few photoshoots in if they'll let me :)  Next Friday, I'm also having an ultrasound on my gallbladder to make sure that I had an ulcer back in November and not gallstones (eek!)

Sara and Jimmy's engagement photo session was pushed back until the last week of March, and I am convinced we will have a beautiful, beautiful, warm day for the two of them!  Just no snow or rain, please, Mother Nature!
