Pending Homeownership

Well, Bloggies,

I have missed correspondence for days now and I feel deeply ashamed.  Ok, just regretful.  My hubble pointed out to me last night that I hadn't posted in awhile and I think I have just been waiting for the right time and some good news to provide my blogfriends with.  (Yes, I did just end a sentence with a preposition.  I kind of like being rebellious.)

If all goes well, Josh and I will be homeowners in 33 days.  Oh yes, my friends, I have begun the Official Countdown.  I still cannot fully 100% believe that this is going to happen--but I suppose unless something does, we should be celebrating.

First, let me say that we have the best mortgage advisor and realtor that a couple could ever ask for.  I need to know, as far as etiquette goes--do we buy them "thank you" gifts?  I've heard both ways...so I need your advice!  And if anyone happens to need referrals, I am more than happy to forward you Flavia and Jake's numbers.  Our realtor was so great, she even texted with us so we had up-to-the-minute information.  She stayed at the office 'til almost 10pm one night with us writing an offer for our home.

Oh yes!  The home!  It is a beautiful 1923 Colonial (to me it looks almost like a Cape Cod) with original hardwood floors and woodwork (like baseboards and stairway and window sills).  It is completely updated inside and out and the only place in the home that needs some TLC is the kitchen (and I am excited with the possibilities).

That's all for now.
