Not Me! Monday, TakeTwo

Well, it's Monday again.  Time for Not Me! Monday and sharing with the blogging community out there what I didn't do today!

Today is Monday and I did not pull a pair of unironed dress pants out of my to-iron basket and wear them to work...unironed.  (If I had done that though, I'd want you to know for the record that they were clean).

Because today is Monday and weekend leftovers are really not a favorite of mine, I refused to eat half of a cold Panini's sandwich for breakfast.  Cold.  No, certainly not the kind that has coleslaw and tomato on it.  That'd be gross for breakfast.  Who does that?

For the record, I had not promised that half-sandwich to my husband.  If I had realized that when I did not get the sandwich out at work to (not) eat it, I wouldn't have thought to myself, "Oops, maybe he won't remember."

After coming back from lunch today, I did not even consider double parking to take advantage of the "no ticketing this week" policy that campus security has put into place for the semester's beginning.  I also did not drive-stalk exiting students and staff to find a regular, open, marked spot.  That's just plain weird.

I most certainly did not track snow all over my house this afternoon coming in from work without a care in the world about it.  Only a slob would do that.

Since I did not decide to make chicken and cheese enchiladas for dinner, I didn't over-defrost the frozen corn tortillas in the microwave and subsequently throw them in the trash can for fear they'd taste funny after baked.  Before not wasting said tortillas, I did not hear a shrill voice ring inside my head (sounding conspicuously like my grandmother's) exclaiming shrilly, "RachelAnn...don't you dare waste that food!"  And I did not start to think about her time growing up during the Great Depression and still waste the tortillas anyway.  No way, José!

Since I eat healthy every single day, I did not decide to make brownies for dessert.  To make them healthier, I did not add chocolate chips in the batter (and before doing so, did not spill out half the bag on the floor as our beagle shot into the kitchen after them).

For some homes, piles of laundry scattered about might be the norm.  Or it might not.  But it is not normal in my house; it's just not!  No piles upon piles of laundry to be done and clothes to be ironed (see above) in our house, because instead I have made way for neatly placed, basketed, color-coordinated, separated stacks of clothes (sorted--of course--by their appropriate spin cycles).  No way, no how would I leave awful, messy piles of laundry--not in the doorway to the bedroom and trailing off into the living room--not anywhere.  Not me!

To show these neat little, set-aside, hidden-away-but-coordinated laundry stacks, who's boss, I've decided not to watch the new House, M.D. episode tonight and the Brothers and Sisters episode I tivo'd last night.  Yes, dear blogamigos, I've decided to forego sitting on the couch and blogging while watching television to join the world of the Conscientious Frequent Laundry-do-ers.
