Today I got to work around o'dark thirty (6:00am) and worked until early afternoon to prepare for this big snow accumulation that was supposed to happen. We still haven't seen any snow...but it was nice to work early and come home early. When it failed to snow, Josh and I hit Trader Joe's up for some tortellini, pita chips, and wine then used our Christmas giftcard to grab a nice dinner from Outback to go. They have the best grilled chicken sandwich this side of Australia. I mean really. And you don't want me to start on their salad...mmm!! I have a replica recipe somewhere around the house for their type of ranch dressing (basically just regular homemade ranch adding in some garlic, paprika, and ground red pepper) but I will have to post that in the future.
I don't know why, but Sadie and Belle have really been playing a lot in the snow. Normally they want to come in .352 seconds after stepping out into the cold and doing their business, but this winter they have really begun to embrace the snow.
Literally even.
Today, we took treats out with us to play and threw them in the snow.
They literally went diving into it after their milkbones.
And when they came up for air...
It was time to go inside! They wanted to bring their newfound treasures with them...but it wasn't the treats that they liked the best!
